Service Description: <div style='text-align:Left;'><div><div><p><span>The CW 1993 Battlefield Boundary feature class represents the polygon locations of the “study areas” identified by the Civil War Sites Advisory Commission (CWSAC) for the principal battlefields of the Civil War. The CWSAC defined “study area” as the maximum delineation of a battlefield, providing the tactical context of the battle and including all places related or contributing to the battle event. The Battlefield Boundary is where troops deployed and maneuvered before, during, and after the engagement. Feature level metadata entered in the attribute table provides additional information about the source and creation of each polygon. All data was edited for accuracy and consistency.</span></p><p><span /></p></div></div></div>
