Service Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>This dataset was derived from a list of land trust organizations provided by the Land Trust Alliance. The "Organization" attribute is the name of the organization. Only organizations that exist in 2024 and had all information required were included. Service areas were created by county or state boundaries from Census or HUC4, HUC8 or HUC12 boundaries from the National Hydrography Dataset. The "Extent_Type" attribute describes if the service area is a single county ("Single County"), single state ("Single State"), multiple counties ("Multiple Counties"), multiple states ("Multiple States"), single HUC4, HUC8 or HUC12 watersheds ("Single Watershed"), multiple HUC4, HUC8 or HUC12 watersheds ("Multiple Watersheds"), or Chesapeake Bay watershed or larger (CBW). "Service Area" attribute is a description of the service area, which was either directly copied from the organization’s website or determined by context from the website or other resources. The smallest boundary of a service area could only be county or HUC12, so even if the organization did not operate in a county or HUC in its entirety, it was still used as its representation (for example, a county park is represented by its county boundary than its actual park boundary). The "Email" attribute is the email contact for that organization if provided. The "DC", "DE", "MD", "NY", "PA", "VA" and "WV" attributes indicate if the organization is in that state or not. The "Address" attribute is the mailing or physical address of the organization. The "Website" attribute contains the URL to the organization's website.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
