Service Description: This dataset identifies vegetated buffer opportunity areas (VBOAs) for the implementation of forest and grass buffer practices to reduce sediment and nutrient runoff in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. These opportunity areas were generated using hi-resolution land use (2017/18) and hydrography datasets (2024 edition, derived from lidar data ranging from 2008-2021) produced by Chesapeake Conservancy.
